and then watched your students completely forget them during independent work, this one’s for you.⁣

I wanted my students to have:⁣
✔ simple language they could understand⁣
✔ visuals they could reference on their own⁣
✔ support in both French and English⁣

So I created bilingual reading strategy posters plus mini desk versions students can keep right in their workbooks. No guessing. No interrupting. Just real independence.⁣

2025 changed me in quiet ways. 🥂⁣
⁣
Not with big announcements, but through small, repeated choices.⁣
⁣
🖤 Going back to work in September meant adjusting to new routines and finding my footing again. It meant rebuilding relationships with 47 incredible students and reconnecting with coworkers I missed more than I realized. That return reminded me why I do this in the first place.⁣
⁣
🖤 I learned that confidence doesn’t come from feeling ready. It comes from doing the thing anyway. Showing up, trying, and trusting myself to figure it out as I go.⁣
⁣
🖤 Growth stayed quiet this year. Just consistency, reflection, and staying longer than it felt comfortable.⁣
⁣
🖤 I brought art back into my life because I needed something that didn’t need to perform. Creating again gave me space to breathe, and that space made everything else feel clearer.⁣
⁣
🖤 I restructured my business so burnout wasn’t the cost of ambition. I simplified, focused on what mattered most, and let go of what no longer fit.⁣
⁣
🖤 I learned that chasing purpose feels steadier than chasing approval. Rest became non negotiable. Focusing on what made me happiest changed everything.⁣
⁣
2026 feels intentional.⁣
⁣
Some exciting changes are coming, and I can’t wait to share what’s next. ✨⁣

I’m so grateful that they sent over some of their best art prints and frames to help decorate my classroom and get my students thinking more when it comes to art as they are literally the most creative and crafty little group this year. ✨⁣
⁣
I am obsessed with the different prints, frame options, and artwork that they have available on their website. We also have a few art pieces from them in our home which really just makes the space feel extra comfortable. ⁣

Lately I’ve been feeling this tug between who I am now and who I used to be before life got full. Not bad full, just the kind of full that leaves very little space for the parts of you that don’t have a deadline or a diaper duty attached.⁣
⁣
If you’re in the same season, I hope this reminds you that you’re allowed to grow in ways that have nothing to do with your kids or your classroom. You’re allowed to pick up old dreams, start new ones, or take five quiet minutes that are just for you. None of that makes you less of a parent or less of a teacher. It just makes you more you. 🩷⁣

Watching my daughter learn to read has been one of those heart-full parenting moments. She’s so proud every time she traces a new letter or sounds out a word and with @leapfrogcanada , it actually feels like play.

Reading is the foundation of everything, and I love that we get to explore it together. Side by side, one sound and one story at a time. 💚

We’ve been using the LeapStart® Learning Success Bundle™ and the LeapFrog® LeapReader® Learn-to-Read 10-Book Mega Pack™, and she lights up every time she opens a new page.

From first words to early readers, @leapfrogcanada makes learning fun, interactive, and confidence-building for little ones (and honestly, it’s just as special for us parents watching it all happen).

Back-to-school season hits differently when you’re both a teacher and a mom. 🎒✏️⁣
⁣
Walmart Canada helps me keep things simple: stocking up on all the classroom must-haves like Sharpie paint markers, scissors, and laminating sheets (seriously, can you ever have enough of those?). And when the school day is done, their grocery delivery makes prepping lunches for my kids a whole lot easier.⁣
⁣
Making life smoother in the classroom and at home-yes please. 🤍⁣
