In case you haven't heard, it's fall y'all! The leaves are changing, we are wearing our cute boots and cozy sweaters while sipping on some PSL's. Life is good!

Whether or not you're a fall fan, we are going to explore some fabulous resources that you can use with your French Immersion or Core French students.

I find that during the (typical) school year, the beginning of October is when your students start to get comfortable. Some say it's when the "honeymoon phase" ends and you start to see your students pushing boundaries and exploring a little bit more. It's also the time of the year where you get to see their personalities starting to shine through! This can only be described as a whirlwind of a time, so let's take a look at some resources to help you calm the chaos and that engage your students.

I like all things free, and I'm positive that you do too! These cards are blank on the back with a fun little expression on the front. I made these because some of my students were bummed out at the beginning of this school year. And honestly - I didn't blame them. So after the first full week of school, I printed these out, wrote a personalized message on the back and gave them a little treat. Chocolate doesn't solve ALL problems... just most of them! Click here to download these from my TPT store.

Let's say it together: ROUTINE IS EVERYTHING. Not just for the students, but for teachers too. I use these slides to organize my days. I explained to my students that I personally need these slides to keep myself on track during my teaching because I get frustrated when I have to constantly look back ay my lesson planning book to try and understand where we are at. Be honest with your students too! I promise they can handle it, and they really appreciate the extra step to keep them on track too. Simply download to your Google Drive, personalize & project! It's really that simple. Check them out here!

These bulletin board packages are designed to make your life SUPER EASY. Imagine someone handing your a freezer sized Ziploc bag, and inside were the contents to set up a whole bulletin board! This is pretty much the same thing, all you need to do is print and cutout the elements (letters, graphics & borders) and then laminate (optional). Then you can reuse them year after year! These journal prompts are great because they come in French & English (hello to the teachers who do FLA & ELA!), but they also come in digital AND printable format! That means you can assign via Google Slides, or print out physical copies. Such a great option for my hybrid teachers! The watercolour clipart was a huge hit with my students. One of them actually told me that, "This art makes me feel so professional!" and it cracked me up. Click here to see more.

If you are teaching early primary or Core French this is the product for you! These simple activities will have your students practising some simply autumn words, and having the best time doing it! There are full pages printables as well as a super fun activity book, so make sure to click here to check it out.

Lastly, make sure that you are taking some time to bring your students outside during this beautiful time of the year. This year, I had both of the classes go outside to pick a leaf, and then they created the most incredible leaf art that incorporated line and colour, as well as shading!

That's all for now; thanks for being part of the journey! 🤍

Don't forget to enjoy this season because it won't be here for long!
